Autumn Programme

The Italian Cultural Centre is back in action after the summer break.  We hope that you have all had the opportunity for a great holiday. We are proud to present our rich autumn programme.

Saturday, September 30, 10 am – Cardiff Central Library – European Day of Languages:

Beginning of Language Maintenance Courses (Room 4).  Our first lesson, open to all children aged 6 to 13, will be held at the Cardiff Central Library to celebrate the European Day of Languages organized with our friends from Europe Direct.

If you are interested in our courses, email us and we will send you the calendar and details of the first 10 lessons.

Sunday, October 8 at 14.00 pm venue TBC:

Book Club: Io non ho paura by Niccolò Ammaniti. The event is free for all ICCW members. Send us an email if you are interested in the event since there are limited places.

The Italian Film Festival Cardiff presents the British premiere of the latest short film by Jo Coda, Xavier, a love letter by Etienne Cardlels in response to the loss of his partner, police officer Xavier Jugelé, who died in the terrorist attack of 20 April 2017 in avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris. The director will be present for the Q&A.

Watch Africa Film Festival

The Italian Film Festival Cardiff presents the Welsh premiere of the documentary Sponde by Irene Dionisio, the beautiful story of two men on the opposite shores of the Mediterranean after the Arab spring. The director will be present in the presentation room and Q & A after the projection.

Our annual event of contemporary Italian cinema reaches the third year. We are completing the programming and will keep you up to date on our website and fb page on the movies. Watch this space!
